This notice covers the BeThere Shows website and describes the intended attendee and Venue Admin Portal experience. App store availability is coming soon; supported devices and pilot availability are confirmed with each venue.

Before attendee enrollment or a live pilot, the responsible service operator must provide the applicable privacy notice, including its legal identity, actual data collected, retention schedule, providers, and any international transfers. Those operational details have not been verified by this website review.

After required setup on a supported device, scanning the venue's Entrance QR identifies the event and, once activation is verified, starts phone-free mode. Guests keep their phones.

Phone access is restored when an administrator ends the event, when a guest scans the Exit QR, or when the eight-hour maximum enforcement authority expires. Ending phone-free mode does not itself mean previously collected event records are deleted.

Event identifiers and venue information connect an attendee to the correct show. Phone-free and attendance status support entry, event operations, and release. Device and permission information may be needed for compatibility and setup assistance.

The Venue Admin Portal displays operational categories such as phone-free, in attendance, exited early, and needs attention. Do not assume all events are anonymous or that only totals are retained; the exact attendee fields and staff access must be disclosed for the deployed pilot.

Admission and early exit use the venue's Entrance and Exit QR codes, not geofencing. The app requests the device permissions needed to restrict distracting apps during a show; the exact permissions differ between iPhone and Android.

Whether any location data is accessed, how it is processed, any background permission use, and retention must be confirmed in the app’s privacy notice before enrollment.

You can manage permissions in your device settings. Declining required permissions may prevent verification or phone-free activation. Contact the venue about an alternative or accommodation.

The purpose of BeThere Shows is event participation and phone-free status, not monitoring private messages, photos, browsing history, microphone audio, or screen contents. This page does not claim a verified technical impossibility of access; permission disclosures must describe what the released app actually uses.

BeThere Moment uses an image supplied by the venue, not a photo taken from an attendee’s phone. The venue selects a shared show image; otherwise the show’s artwork is displayed. The Moment display ends when the event ends. Display ending is not a promise that all venue uploads or technical caches are immediately deleted.

There are no intended attendee save or share controls for Moment imagery. Capture by another device or other methods cannot be ruled out.

The contact form prepares an email to the BeThere Shows team with the details you enter, including your name, work email, venue, event details, and optional message. Submission currently opens your email app; the request is not sent until you send that email. Your email provider processes the message under its own terms.

We use received inquiry details to respond and discuss your event. Please do not submit sensitive attendee, medical, or payment information. Hosting and other website services may process technical request information; this review has not established a complete cookie, analytics, or provider inventory.

This site does not publish fixed deletion deadlines or claim that event records disappear at event end. Actual retention periods and deletion exceptions must be confirmed for the service, including support records, backups, and legal obligations.

Before participation, the applicable notice must explain access by your venue and service providers, any other recipients, advertising or sale practices where relevant, and international transfers. No independent security certification or universal data-isolation guarantee is made here.

You may contact Contact the BeThere Shows team to request access, correction, or deletion of information relating to you, or ask questions about its use. Available rights, identity checks, exceptions, and response deadlines depend on applicable law and the data involved.

For a venue’s own ticketing, roster, or admission records, contact that venue as well. You can request account deletion anytime on the Delete Account page.

An all-ages event is not automatic authorization to collect a child’s data. Age eligibility, any required guardian authorization, and local child-privacy requirements must be confirmed before enrolling young attendees. This website does not establish an age threshold or claim compliance with child-privacy laws.

We update this page when its descriptions change. The date above identifies this website revision, not an independent compliance assessment. Material service privacy changes require the notices or consent applicable law requires.
