Scan In. BeThere. Release.
BeThere Shows creates phone-free live experiences without physical pouches. Guests install BeThere, complete required setup and permissions on a supported device, and scan the venue's Entrance QR. When activation is verified, phone-free mode begins and the attendee screen shows the show. Guests keep their phones throughout. Scanning alone does not guarantee activation.
Phone access is restored when an administrator ends the event in the Admin Portal, or when a guest leaving early scans the venue's Exit QR. Enforcement authority also expires after a maximum of eight hours. Restoration depends on the device and connectivity and may not happen at an exact instant.
Emergency access comes first
BeThere Shows is designed to preserve emergency access, including emergency calling and an SOS control on the attendee screen. It is not an emergency-response service and cannot guarantee cellular coverage, device power, or delivery of a call.
If you need urgent help, use your device’s emergency calling function or contact venue staff or local emergency services. Do not wait for an app, a network connection, or an administrative response.
Before a pilot, the venue and BeThere team must verify emergency access and release behavior on the supported devices being used. A description on this website is not a substitute for that check.
Release and practical limits
Phone access is restored through the administrator End Event control, the Exit QR for guests leaving early, or expiry of the eight-hour maximum enforcement authority. Permissions, operating-system behavior, and connectivity can affect when restoration completes on a given device. BeThere is not a physical barrier and does not track when someone walks out.
Venues should test the Entrance QR, Exit QR, and End Event control before doors open. If release does not occur as expected, seek staff assistance and use available emergency controls when needed.
Battery, signal, and setup problems
A powered-off phone cannot provide calling or app access. Weak signal and missing permissions can affect setup and event updates. This site does not promise unrestricted restart behavior, guaranteed offline release, or identical behavior on every phone.
Venues need a documented assistance and accommodation process. An attendee who cannot complete setup should be helped under the venue’s disclosed policy, not left without an emergency or accessibility option.
Venue responsibilities
Disclose your phone-free policy before ticket purchase and again at entry. Provide accommodations for medical, accessibility, caregiving, and other essential needs. Never obstruct an exit or make access to help conditional on phone-free status.
Keep staff access limited to authorized personnel. Check event timing, Entrance and Exit QR placement, attendee assistance process, and emergency procedures before each show.
Security and event information
The Venue Admin Portal supports event operations, including phone-free, in-attendance, left-venue, and needs-attention information. It is not a tool for reading attendee messages or personal content.
Venue and event access should be restricted to authorized staff. Specific claims about audits, certifications, encryption, retention, or technical isolation require verification of the deployed service; none are represented here as independently certified.
BeThere Moment and capture limits
BeThere Moment is a venue-selected image shown across participating attendee screens for a chosen moment. If no Moment image is set, the show’s artwork is displayed. The Moment display ends with the event.
The experience is intended for private in-venue display, without attendee save or share controls. Do not treat it as a guarantee against screenshots, recording, external cameras, or unauthorized copying. Venues must have rights to display their chosen image.
Report a safety or security concern
Report the affected page or event, device type, and steps to reproduce through Contact the BeThere Shows team. Do not include passwords, access tokens, or unnecessary attendee information. Do not test against an event in progress without authorization.
For immediate danger, contact local emergency services or venue staff rather than using this contact channel.
